Creating with Camera and Computer

I love to create, whether with brush and canvas or camera and computer. My floral PhotoArt series combines the use of camera and computer to create some interesting and arty images. The process starts with a digital floral photograph that is good in its own right. I then manipulate it within Photoshop, experimenting with composition, texture and color, much like I might in the development of a painting. As with my canvas art, I am not looking to replicate the image as seen through the lens of a camera, but rather to create a work of art with a touch of abstractionism. The process is fun and creatively stimulating as various visual options come into play. There is no formula for it. Each work carries its own individual settings and manipulation, resulting in a unique, one-of-a-kind image.
